Australians for a Nuclear Weapons Convention is an initiative of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) aimed at galvanising high-level support in Australia for a global ban on nuclear weapons. Recipients of the Order of Australia are invited to sign the short statement above endorsing UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s call for negotiations on a treaty to outlaw and eliminate all nuclear weapons.
